"The All-Auspicious Couple" This is an oil painting on canvas I did for my dentist who happens to love Shiva and the Himalayas and ... fine artwork! I completed it in Dec.2006 . It's about 3 ft. X  4.5 ft. There's a great story behind it. Parvati, Shiva's eternal consort, invited him to visit her, and when he arrived he entered a beautiful garden with waterfalls, swans and lotuses, and the indigenous fauna and flora of the region, and bharat natyam dancers danced for their pleasure. Parvati had created this wondrous garden through her own mystic powers, which astounded even the master of mystic powers himself, Lord Shiva.
The painting took me about 5 months to complete.

The Story of Ganesh . (September 2012) A commissioned oil painting. I leaned the canvas up against my backyard fence and took this shot before the painting was finished. The photo isn't that great. Soon it will be time to take it to a pro photographer. The buyer's daughter posed for this painting.

Close-up of Ganesh's mother Parvati, who is in shock as her husband Shiva is approaching. Shiva will soon
fight with her son who is standing guard and doesn't know Shiva is his father. Her son's name is Ganesh, who is later given an elephant's head by Shiva.
